What is 159?
When you call 159, you’ll be redirected to a service that connects you to your bank so you can report scams or suspected fraudulent activity.
We guarantee to refund any money lost to fraud, as long as you've taken reasonable and sufficient care to keep your details safe and check that the person or company you're dealing with are genuine, and you have not acted fraudulently yourself.
We use encryption to protect your identity and your money when you use online banking.
And to keep your information safe, we’ll log you out of online banking if you leave it open without doing anything for five minutes or more.
We sometimes send you verification codes for security.
We send these via text message when you’re doing things like logging in, making payments, or setting up new payees through online banking.
